Sarah Hurn

Sarah Hurn is continually inspired by everything that surrounds her on a daily basis. From the wonderful Ayrshire countryside where she lives, to her collection of found objects for her still life paintings. Having originally trained as a textile designer, pattern often features as collage in her work. 

After sustaining life changing injuries in a car accident, I moved to Scotland and haven't stopped painting since. I love to use layers, texture, collage and pattern in my work whether I am being inspired by the Scottish Landscape and wildlife or by the objects I collect around me. I am compelled to paint or draw daily. It keeps my brain stimulated and I am always excited about what I see, wondering how I can incorporate it in my wo
