Joshua Elza Breen-Tucci (b. 1991, occupied Ute, Cheyenne and Arapahoe territory) is an
intermedia artist based in glasgow, scotland working principally with kinetic-sculpture and
sound. drawing from interests in subjective perception, iteration, and how these are
influenced by forces of time, much of josh’s work is frequently centered around objects,
systems, and situations which are designed by the artist and allowed to run independently of
him. in this way, much of his work is self-generative and co-authored both by time and an
observing or participating audience. as an artist working closely with machines, much of his
work is also concerned with the politics of technology, particularly how technology
influences human thoughts, behavior, and biological processes. josh holds a BFA from
california institute of the arts, and is an MFA candidate at glasgow school of art.
