Bobby Rennie

I am a contemporary artist from Central Scotland. I was originally self-taught and had a number of exhibitions in my spare time while working full time for a designer clothes manufacturer, making coats by a handmade craft. I took some time out and attended an HNC in public art. Over the years I have developed my painting to abstract and expressionist techniques. I won artist of the year for North Lanarkshire in 1997. With my landscapes I paint a lot of Scottish scenes and places of interest. I also take inspiration from other countries such as from a visit to Bosnia and to France. I continue to develop my work in new directions using different materials i.e. mixed media.
