My work is rooted in mood and memory, a personal social history in mostly urban spaces. My paintings are built in sessions over many months.  A dialogue is raised within the adventure of making. What can I do with the formal structure of the space, how am I going to use the paint and the brushes, how  do I make a figure or character and where should they go. What can I do with colour.
