Ruth Ferris

I am a Glasgow-based painter. Most of my work incorporates text so I use mainly acrylics, for clear lines and sharp edges  I like high contrast and clear colours so my work now tends to have incorporated black framing, like Art Deco posters; but I have also tried other formats to integrate lettering, and traditional pub windows, real and imaginary, were a good opportunity.
