Laura Hamilton

My work is quite varied but I am primarily drawn to texture as a means of expression as well as taking inspiration from popular culture. Each piece consists of a range of different media, from lino printing to paint and collage. I previously studied in the Scottish Borders, receiving a BA Hons Degree in Textile Design and in the past have showcased my textile knitwear pieces at New Designers Exhibition in London and at the Dovecot Studios in 2010. After a long break from creating any personal artwork, over the past few years I have begun to experiment again with a wide variety of media, mostly recently with lino printing, as well as ceramics.
