Lenny Lane

Lenny Lane has been a professional printmaker for over 30 years. A graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design and recipient of the prestigious Sekalski Award for Printmaking, he specialises in linocut printmaking and often goes by the moniker of Lino Lenny.

With a fondness for trees, old cottages, weather and seasons, his work is imbued with a sense time and place. Playing with light, shadows and pushing the norms of colour are hallmarks of his work. Inspiration is drawn from a love of history and traveling through Scotland and beyond over many years. Subsequently, titles found in the artists work hint of the ethereal, largely borne from memories and times of places visited or imagined.

I have an attachment to old cottages and trees and their place in the environment. I love the play of light and pushing the norms of colour. My prints are borne from memories and times of places visited and imagined.
