Hilary Brown

I am a self taught artist working from my home studio in Linlithgow and the stunning scenery of Scotland provides me with plenty of inspiration for my paintings.  I usually work from photographs and am often to be found out in the landscape with a camera in my hand. I particularly enjoy painting coastal scenes and am at my happiest wandering along a beach.   I mostly have worked in acrylics but have recently ventured into the world of oils as I find the slower drying time an advantage when representing ever changing light and colour.
