Statement
Born in Glasgow and raised in the Highlands I gained my BA Hons from Glasgow School of Art 1988-1992 in Drawing and Painting. My work is inspired by small town life, memories of growing up in a housing scheme and the blurry line between fact, fiction, truth and memory, I try to document things I have seen, wish I’d seen or think I might have seen. Either in real life or my imagination. I’m drawn to human behaviour and our inflated sense of power and importance when we’re just wee specs of dust in the grand scheme of things.
