I am an Artist and Sculptor with a studio in Strathbungo Glasgow. I trained at Edinburgh College of Art. My reputation is based on my large and expressive Horse Racing paintings.    " Alasdair Banks paintings capture the essence of speed and nobility in an innately modern style"  Equestrio Arabia. Artists Residencies and Projects include Olympia Showjumping, Royal Windsor Horse Show, Cheltenham Gold Cup and Glorious Goodwood. In a three year association with Lloyds Banking Group I presented "Live Art Events" including Monet at the Savoy, events at Goodwood and in London, Bristol and Cardiff plus at the Edinburgh International Festival. These were often challenging in stamina and creativity as I produced large paintings oudoors and in the public gaze. As a long time petrolhead I have created Motorsport Art with the Jim Clark Trust and the Jackie Stewart Classic plus Residencies/Projects with Aston Martin, Lotus and Volvo. I love Edinburgh Buildings and have created many images of its unique skyline
