LIza Shackleton

My work comprises mainly of paintings and silk screen prints. The subject matter is varied; Portraits of the family, possessions, house
interiors, wallpaper, fabrics, still life, flower studies, Scottish pottery and the Scottish landscape all influence my paintings. The continuing
theme of my work is the home, family and possessions, portraying memories of people and place through their belongings.
I am inspired by Scottish Artists such as Annie French, Phoebe Traquair and Jessie M. King. Their jewel colours, decorative style and
gold detail inspire my work. I paint mainly using acrylic paint on board creating texture with a palette knife.
