Anne Jack

I am a retired teacher of Modern Languages and am keen on drawing, painting, crochet and embroidery.  My submissions are: a pencil drawing of a cocker spaniel ‘Jarvis’; two paintings, both using acrylics, ‘Seascape’ and ‘Lochside in Winter’; an embroidered and beadwork abstract representation of flowers and leaves ‘Garden Jewels’, a quilted and embroidered panel featuring decorative metallic beads as well as embroidery silks ‘Green Dreams’, and a tea cosy, ‘The Birth of the Cosy’, based on The Birth of the Rose’ by Margaret Macdonald Macintosh. I have taken several courses at the Glasgow School of Art since I retired.   Last year's Big Art Show was the first time I had ever submitted anything to an exhibition.   I had always in the past given away anything I had created to friends and family.   I was thrilled to sell my work last year and would love for it to be included this year.
