Amy McPherson

I create tactile mixed media illustration work for publishing and editorial contexts, using traditional media, such as collage and pencil, as well as printmaking processes and (occasionally) digital drawing. Reoccurring themes within my work include film, food and figurative character-based motifs.

I enjoy working with stories, fiction and non-fiction, and bringing them to life in engaging ways through illustration. In a design landscape saturated with digital content, I’m passionate about working with analogue materials and craft processes such as printmaking and crochet, to create work which appeals to those who are playful and curious to learn about the world around them.
