Lucinda Wilkinson

Lucinda is a graduate of Wimbledon school of Art where she obtained a BA hons  degree in Sculpture and later attending Glasgow school of Art an MFA in fine Art ( Sculpture).

Much of her work is inspired by the landscape looking at the rhythms and dimensions,,the energy of the land .In 2008 whilst representing Scotland during International polar year she produced Mosaic of Antarctica a series of glass sculptural engravings documenting environmental changes to this special landscape.

collaborating with Scientists , the visual imagery was transcripted from  satellite data  provided by the European Space Agency showing the translucence of melting ice from

the region's ice shelves, glaciers and sea ice. A visual recording of the Collection is archived at the British Map Library in London.

In her glass work Lucinda is committed to producing sculptural

artworks which evoke strong environmental messages through beautiful ,poignant imagery, which she hopes will serve as a wake up call for the world.@
