I moved to Paisley in 1995 and worked here until I retired 3 years ago and became overwhelmed with a need to create  and decided to start using up the art materials I inherited from my mother. She always intended painting when she retired but never found time, which breaks my heart. I attended 'Made in Paisley' where I tried oil painting for the first time, and loved it. I then did online classes and started experimenting with other materials. Principally pen and watercolours. I am using a box of  my mother's watercolour paints that is possibly older than myself! It is a good medium for quickly filling sketch books and developing my ability to see. God I love sketching!
