Kinga Elliott

I am an artist. I was born in Hungary and have been living in Scotland since the mid-1990s. I studied physics and mathematics in Budapest and worked as a secondary school teacher before moving to Scotland. I studied painting at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, graduating in 2020 with first class honours. I make abstract mixed media works, often using cyanotype, resin and paint, creating interplays between shapes and colours and searching for a balance within the composition. My inspirations are sometimes geometrical theorems, sometimes more organic in nature. I have an interests in the theory of light, cosmology and data science. Recently I started to make transparent designs sandwiched between polarizer sheets. I work in my studio in Glenesk at the border of Aberdeenshire and Angus.
