Shona Dougall

I graduated from Glasgow School of art in 1981 BA Fine Art with honours drawing and painting and also won the Mary Armour still life prize in my final year. I have been interested in still life, portraiture and landscape and tend to lean to traditional art style in my work. At the moment I have discovered an interest in Lino printing. Since visiting Spain many years ago I changed my early palette from the earth colours to using very bright colours and still use that palette to date. I have exhibited widely mainly UK and have had a few solo exhibitions. These days I paint mainly in acrylic and sometimes divert into oil pastels. I also enjoy pen and ink drawing.
