Ladislav Smrcek

Hello, my name is Ladislav Smrcek and I am a 70 year old Czechwegain artist. I retired many years ago but decided to go back and complete a HND in Art and Design in Glasgow. As a former aeronautical engineer, I have always tried to add a creative flare to life. I have thoroughly enjoyed developing my skills in paint, structure, media and expression over the past two years during my HND. My work replicates my love for music, landscape, emotions and the link between the Czech Republic and Scotland. As I grew up in former Czechoslovakia, I have now called Scotland home for the past 40 years. My aim is to continue painting after this year and this is why I am interested in The Big Art Show. Art is so unique but yet can connect with so many people at different levels and times of their lives. I welcome you to look through my artwork submissions to aid my application for this exhibition.
