Claire MacLellan

Claire’s home and studio overlook Loch Lomond where she has lived for 34 years.  Using observation and imagination her portfolio offers a wide range in landscape, still life, design and illustration.  Colour and subject matter are always on her mind.   Referring to sketchbook thoughts and impulsive responses to ideas she paints quickly on board and recycled card.  She paints what she sees not necessarily what is there with no restrictions of perspective or scale. Claire loves to reinterpret the familiar, the whole thinking on her feet process endeavouring to bring spontaneity, freshness and joy to her work.  She is delighted her work hangs all over the UK and abroad.
