Veronica Mee

Using paint (both acrylic and oils) textiles and print, my art explores social inequality and the psychological and cultural consequences this creates. I am inspired by the work of Mark Bradford, Glen Lygon and Paula Rego, creating multi layered pieces with a narrative behind them.  I have discovered a love of texture and textiles in my work and hope to create pieces which encourage the viewer to stop,look more closely and feel something. I am a very mature student about to enter my third year in Fine Art and Printmaking at the Glasgow School of Art.
