Statement
The visual language of American cinema, advertising and comic books of the 50’s is the main influence of my work, and I use this language to create a tension between the bland and glossy surface and an underlying feeling of unease.
I like to see duality in my work, to make it funny and uplifting as well as dark and sinister.
