As a 46-year-old Glaswegian returning to college, I'm rekindling my teenage passion for photography. After years in the bustling hospitality sector, my perspective is unique, coloured by a rich tapestry of experience, and I carry this into my art. Each photograph I take is more than a simple snapshot; it's a story captured in light and shadow.My images resonate with the spirit of Glasgow: gritty, vibrant, and unapologetically real. I seek the hidden corners, the unnoticed moments, and I bring them to the surface in a celebration of my city. I'm also inspired by my travels having set up a business in Los Angeles, this has given me a different perspective. My camera lens focuses not just on the urban environment, but also on the people who call it home, capturing their trials, triumphs, and the quiet spaces in between.My work blurs the line between the observer and the observed, between the seen and unseen. These mages are a reflection of my journey, a journey of rediscovery and passion. Through my photography, I aim to inspire viewers to see the world from a fresh perspective, to encourage them to look beyond the superficial and appreciate the beauty that resides in the unexpected.
