Confound is the last of a set of three pieces which call into question the stereotypes of soft, tactile textiles. It uses geometric, angular lines, rough paper yarn and the sharp texture of copper wire to offset and disrupt the softness of cotton and merino wool, blurring the boundaries between the femininity of textile hand-craft and the supposed masculinity of my machine.
