Wilbur is my friend's whippet. Sighthounds are the most fabulous models because of their elegant form. I used a loose brush technique to capture the light and shade. I lit him against the green background to contrast with the warm tones of his coat. I wanted to capture his character and energy with this pose. I used a low viewpoint to give him a regal pose. I did an underpainting in burnt umber, black and white to ensure I achieved the correct values and drama of the lighting.0.00
