The Body as Home is a series of self portraits made whilst thinking about the concept of a home, feeling safety and what that means in the context of trauma. My body has been with me through physical and mental strain and I have been guilty of not looking after it as a result of mental disturbance.
The body as a sanctuary, as a holding space for feeling and something that should, in the first instance, be loved and held.
