I am an artist using textiles, mixed media and found objects in my work. I use only natural fabrics and embed them within the landscape, allowing time and the elements to distress and retain a memory of place. Eco dying and stitch are added to reflect the timeless rhythm of interaction between people, nature and environment. Texture and colour are applied, adding my own marks recorded on walking my local environment, building up layers of the story. History, peoples use and misuse of the land and how fragile the balance is are reoccurring themes within my work.
