"Bound" is a short dance/movement video piece performed by four women. The theme of the piece is the oppression of women within the working-class community, in particular at the drying green in Glasgow’s east end. The drying green, for some, is remembered as a place of community and where they would chat to friends. When I looked at the drying green, I saw oppression and society controlling women. The dancers in my piece will express the emotion and entrapment that these women felt. The piece is filmed and performed at the Drying Green.
