This cyanotype was part of a series of projects themed around the busy urban life of Glasgow, the central station clock represents cultural references to many people and that whatever happens, time keeps going it doesn’t stop for any person – it is ticking away.
I applied the cyanotype using a dry brush to create marks on the paper. ‘Ticking away’ was done by using photograph and converting it into a negative for the cyanotype paper, the negative and the paper went outside for about 15 minutes under a sheet of glass, to do its magic and then proceed it into a bath of water into the finished print.
