Original acrylic painting on canvas. This is one of my looking closer at hyacinths series. I started painting hyacinths after one of my dearest friends gave me some blue hyacinths for Christmas which bloomed over the holidays and filled my home with an amazing scent. I Iove the colour and shape and started drawing and painting them. As time moved on towards spring I started exploring other colours of hyacinths whilst waiting for the light days to return. White hyacinths symbolize peace, purity and healing. Pink hyacinths represent joy, playfulness, love and beginnings which are very spring-like attributes.
