Original acrylic painting on canvas. This is one of my looking closer at hyacinths series. I started painting hyacinths after one of my dearest friends gave me some blue hyacinths for Christmas which bloomed over the holidays and filled my home with an amazing scent. I Iove the colour and shape and started drawing and painting them. As time moved on towards spring I started exploring other colours of hyacinths whilst waiting for the light days to return. Pink hyacinths represent joy, playfulness, love and beginnings which are very spring-like attributes.
