Abstract Orange Tulips.
Oil Impasto painted on paper with Palette knives. Orange was inspired by the strength and beauty found in Horatios garden. The use of the primary colour blue for the bold background to simulate inspiration and freedom and inner peace, paired with the vivid orange to evoke a sense of energy and optimism.
The tulip stalks are deliberately painted to appear almost brittle topped with the new full weight of Springs fresh petals, symbolising strength and courage of the patients at Glasgow QEUH.
