Chyrsanthemum on blue was made by photographing and then creating a digital negative, using cyanotype chemicals to produce the final image. The final image was achieved by layering multiple images of the initial negative to create a density within the image. The inspiration to create multiple layers to make one image comes from the often multi layered and complexity of life. The Blue of the Cyanotype represents serenity and calmness in contrast to the distractions of modern life.
