PanPastel with black and white charcoal pencil for fine dark lines and highlights. The scene was sketched freehand from my photo of a view near Dunlop. The woods seemed to be holding onto this magical morning where the mist floated above grey mauve grasses and coloured light tried to pierce the branches and darkness.
