This painting was created from a repeat pattern design drawn by the artist. The Pied Piper is shown playing for the rats. Gold paint is used to accent the green colour scheme, producing an other-worldly glow. The painting was inspired, of course, by the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin and its continued relevance. Often, we are presented with rats, then rush to apply an apparently effective solution, without fully engaging with or scrutinising the issue. But what are the consequences for the future?
