Self portrait on plane challenges and pushes the evolution of technology and its direct impact and inspiration in traditional forms of creating artwork. The colour palette and contrast between warm and cool tones exposes challenging endings to relationships and personal circumstances in young adulthood, the harshness of our environment compared to the sensitivity and emotional humanity within us. Many of my works have underlying inspirations from tarot cards and various artist's interpretations, many of the language used within tarot and spirituality directly transpires in the brush strokes and subject matter of my paintings. Some of these fundamental themes examine journeys of understanding and finding oneself, identity, relationships, feminism and independence.
