The literal once in a lifetime shot. A single frame capturing the naked eye Comet Neowise as it traversed the sky over Renfrewshire. I had this shot planned for weeks in advance as I knew Kenmure Hill's temple was a good foreground interest point and recognisable landmark. Whilst the comet was visible to parts of the UK over a period of a few weeks as it peaked in brightness, unfortunately solid cloud was an issue for us those two weeks in July. However, with the promise of a period of clear sky one solitary night and my night sky tracker, I knew where it would be but I was not prepared for how amazing it looked to the naked eye. A clear greenish glow with a tail extending away from the sun was incredible and a little emotional to see. Incredibly the image also shows the rare 250,000ft noctilucent clouds shining electric blue to add more interest and layers to the image. I am very proud and humble of this capture and the fact it's a scene none of us will ever see again in our lifetime.
