This original painting is from my Moonlit Waves collection. This series of work aims to capture the beauty of waves illuminated by the moon, lapping against a sandy coast. The colours used in this piece are deep and bold, with stunning highlights of silver that come to life when the light catches them. Layers of resin have been used to create depth, with a sense of movement and flow which is achieved by the use of the fluid art medium of alcohol inks. This is an intricate artwork which invites you to look closer and see the details within.
Working on this collection of abstract ocean paintings evoked for me the sense of calm and fascination I have when I gaze at the water’s edge watching the movement of the waves. I hope they will bring similar feelings of tranquility and wonder to you as the viewer.
