The Viking Ship. Vikings were the Scandinavian seafaring warriors who raided, pillaged and colonized vast areas of Europe from the 9th to the 11th century. Their seafaring skills included the building of their iconic and distinctive sailing ships, which I find both graceful and majestic and a pleasure to interpret in clay. The Vikings longships were used for trading, exploring and raiding.
