Elisa Coffey

My work blends moments and places, past and present. I draw and paint from observations and images I have taken on my phone; quiet everyday details found in towns and cities I have lived in or visited. I am drawn to the temporality of shadows of buildings and nature, and the way that architecture frames landscapes. Materiality and application aim to convey notions of fragility, prompted by a search for calm amidst feelings of change, moving from one place to the next.
