Oil painting on paper. Returning to Scotland after two years living abroad, I moved to a new house, in a new town with a new family. I dipped a rag in oil paint and depicted an unfamiliar place. The colours are oversaturated, the bushes in different places, and the path leading to no gate. It was a time of relief, uncertainty, and a moment to pause in greener spaces.
