With a mix of shapes, collage elements and slight value variations this painting proved an interesting challenge. As I work I’m continually aiming to achieve a sense of harmony, a sense of cohesion along with a balanced composition. Its fine balancing act ensuring design elements fit together to ensure the viewer’s eye crosses over the central axis to create visual tension.
