This image is made up of many different elements from a range of digital edits that I have done over the last 3 years. Taking the digital image and transforming it back into analogue form. This juxtaposition of digital and analogue meant that the colours used were near or as close to the digital copy yet not a replica allowing for a new and interpretative approach to adding the colour to the page in a cohesive composition.
Whilst drawing the artwork the title phrase arose, the consideration of all the time spent creating this work resulted in the outcome, but what if I wasn't an artist, what would the result of the same amount of time be evidenced by? How would I justify the time spent on earth?
Through this work I want to question the audience, how do they spend their time and what is the outcome of this time spent? We are all busy doing something, what is that something, what becomes of the time we spend on that something, Art can be the outcome of time spent focusing, what are your outcomes?
