My artwork, 'Asha the Elephant' is a tactile and textured collage artwork meticulously crafted from carefully cut and layered paper, predominantly wallpaper. The placement of each hand-cut piece, designed to capture the unique wrinkles and folds, invites viewers to explore the artwork up close. Inspired by the name Asha, meaning 'hope' in Sanskrit, this piece seeks to illuminate the beauty of the endangered Asian elephant whilst inviting viewers to reflect on the need to protect and preserve these majestic creatures.
