Isolation #1 is part of a series of paintings created during the UK coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
As the first of a series, it portrays the feeling of longing and isolation. Being forced to stay inside is stifling; this reality is flat and monochromatic, with each day resembling the last. The real world, world bursting with colour and opportunity, remains outside, but it seems as unattainable as the stars themselves.
