Isolation #2 is the second instalment in a series of paintings created during the UK coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
Where the first painting explored the feeling of missing out on the excitement of the outside world, the second painting is much more complacent. After remaining inside for so long, one starts to tolerate their reality. The limited space, one that seemed so flat and monochromatic, starts feeling chaotic and expansive, even overwhelming. In the face of such chaos, one can just lean back and observe.
