the spaces that inhabit us
"the spaces that inhabit us" pertains to how our surroundings - which have been shaped by ourselves, members of our communities or our ancestors - affect how we think and interact with each other. This relationship of self-fuelling cycles becomes apparent when one steps outside of their own cultural and physical space and begins to inhabit - temporarily or permanently - spaces belonging to other people. As such this piece was inspired by my recent trip to the USA, which despite remaining within the wider cultural context of the UK, differs drastically in its attitude towards space, public and private, as well as public and private perception of relationships.
