Inspired by the texture and depth of waves, this painting was created by layering shackle paste and acrylic paint. I wanted to create the impression that a wave was making its way across the canvas, and painted each layer in highly contrasting colours (both reminiscent of the ocean) to create impact. I love the simplicity of this piece, and the feeling of movement it evokes.
