A walk through the forest and the noise of the wind through the trees prompted looking up and the inspiration to capture this energy. This painting has been through a lot to reach this point of lighter tones of greens and pinks against the contrasting Prussian blue. A closer look reveals a textured surface and areas of fine patterns against the blocks of patterned colour. I enjoy the vague depth of what is beyond the trees and the sense that you could walk through into a new open space. Strong colours sit enough the white sky and add the movement of the whole painting
