Memories and drawings contemplating motherhood, autobiography, and landscape, form the basis of my work. The etched prints with chine colle submitted to this show are based on the relief sought and found after going through a number of life changing experiences, including becoming a mother.

During this time, walking along the Fife Coastal Path, observing the transience within the scenery provided a tonic to all these changes, offering some clarity and calm. The mediative quality of the ongoing sound of the sea is reflected through etched repeat patterns. This work delves into the layers of uncertainty felt during this period and how they were abated by developing routines and embracing this special time in my life.
